I’ve been making art for as long as I can remember. My mom used to take us to museums all the time when I was growing up, and somewhere in those visits I completely fell in love with it. Sketching and painting came first, usually mixed with a fascination for the eccentric, the colorful, and the slightly weird.

Life got busy along the way. College happened. Family happened. I spent 16 years working in the culinary world, which honestly scratched that same creative itch in a completely different way. But art always found its way back to me. It always does.

These days I work across oil, watercolor, mosaic, mixed media, and whatever else a piece asks for. I follow the idea more than the rules. Nature, culture, bold color, stories, and the need to turn feelings into something physical tend to guide the process.

Somewhere in the middle of all of that, I started writing silly stories for my kids. That unexpected little detour eventually turned into Cringe Cat, which is still one of my favorite surprises.

I make art for people who want pieces with personality. Not just something that matches the room or politely blends into the background. I want the work to say something. To feel like something.

Because honestly? If a piece speaks to you, that’s all that should matter. You don’t need it to match your curtains.
